Would you believe a mockup image of a rumoured HTC One M9 Plus? If you do, then feast your eyes upon this well-rendered image.
The tweet was very clear about the mockup being based on what was seen by @OnLeaks and is a comparison to the HTC One M9 announced at Mobile World Congress 2015. This, and the matching circular camera seen in the blurry photo, are increasing the likelihood that the upsized version of the M9 could be real.
A new detail that was spotted is the existence of a physical button in the front, which also splits the BoomSound speaker. Details surrounding this button haven’t been revealed, with some speculations that it could be purely a home button, or perhaps a fingerprint sensor.
For now, the other rumours surrounding this upsized version of the One M9 includes a choice of two variants - one powered by a MediaTek MT6795 processor for the China market and a Snapdragon 810 version for the global arena.
Other rumoured specs that would make the One M9 Plus a juggernaut smartphone point at a 5.2in QHD display, 3GB of RAM, as well as 32GB of expandable memory.

Though the mockup can get you excited, a cryptic line within the tweet might bring some disappointment. @OnLeaks made a mention to the possibility of the M9 Plus being cancelled. If that’s the case, it’ll be a real bummer.
But, at least you can find solace that the HTC One M9 is very real, and we’ve already got a review to tempt you to get one right now.
