The Acer Care Centre has now gone mobile. Gone are the days of queuing up to buy movie tickets, at the bank, and now even a service centre. Acer Malaysia recently announced an app that allows users to easily check and track statuses of their registered Acer devices.
Now you would not need to carry around a physical warranty card in fear of losing it somewhere as the information is all stored in the app. It makes servicing Acer devices hassle free as all you need to do is send a query under the Service Request function and snap a picture of the proof of purchase. After that, they will send you a Case ID number as a reference and all you need to do is track the status of your device with the given Case ID.
As a promotion for in conjunction of the launching of the app, Acer is giving away a 3 month warranty extension to the first 1000 customers who download and registers the app. The extention is only applicable to users with existing standard and extended warranty, and also on site warranty.
