Have one of those friends who can't even take a decent picture with an iPhone? Microsoft has a fix for that and it's called Pix.
AI for perfect pictures
Microsoft's trick? Artificial intelligence. What the app does it take a burst of 10 frames with each shutter click, with the three best shots selected and the rest deleted. The app does take data from all the frames before trimming the frames and uses it to adjust colour, tone, brighten faces, smoothen skin and remove noise.
The app will even check your pictures for any kind of motion that can be looped, to create a Live Image. Think a GIF but prettier.
If you're the type who obsesses about camera app settings, sorry, there are no modes or settings here. It's basically made for those who want to take pictures, "but don't want to take the time to learn what goes into making better pictures." That's an actual quote by one of the beta testers for the app.
No mucking with exposure, no tweaking white balance. Everything will be sorted by the app, with particular focus put on people's faces.
Pix even ships with Microsoft's hyperlapse technology, that creates smoother video that a look a lot more polished.
You can download it for free on the App Store today.
