Microsoft’s line of Surface devices has since become their flagship laptop models, becoming a key part of Microsoft’s lineup. Surface devices can do a whole bunch, being a sort of hybrid between a tablet and laptop, and any new model is highly-anticipated by fans. And now we have an indication that a whole new line might just debut soon.
Microsoft has just announced a whole new Surface event to take place on the 2nd of October, with it being held in New York City. Fans should expect an update on their Surface and Surface Pro models, presumably a processor upgrade. While the Surface Mini has been discontinued by Microsoft, there still might be hope for the Surface Book or Surface Go.
The biggest out of the rumour mill regarding this event would be the dual-screen Surface device. Internally codenamed “Centaurus”, this new kind of Surface has been rumoured since June and hopefully, we’ll see it in action this time around. Though presumably, this device will only be ready to ship by 2020.
For now, only time will tell if the “Centaurus” will come to light at this event, but hopefully, we’ll see this new dual-screen Surface concept soon.
