Microsoft Office 2016 finally launching Sept 22

Office 365 users, prepare for the rollout

Windows 10 is live and in the wild and coming right after it is Microsoft Office 2016. The latest update for the Mac version was released earlier this year and it makes sense the final version for PC to be out too. It was announced that the latter would  start rolling out starting Sept 22.

Of course anyone on an Office 365 subscription would get immediate access without paying extra. A preview was made available for users to try out before the release, which included apps such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

This new version of Office, Microsoft says, has better cloud integration and real-time collaboration, allowing for multiple users to be editing the same document at the same time. Other things include more analysis capabilities built into Excel, new themes (of course) and better security features - critical in organisations where applications like Office are deployed and managed internally.
