Xiaomi's foray into notebook territory was fairly successful and it looks like the company will have a new machine to share soon.
The model that leaked on Jingdong Mall (JD.com) is a 13.3in device, with a design similar to the first-gen Mi Notebook Airs. There's no telling if Xiaomi will release other models besides this one however as this might just be the only one that leaked.
What's notable is that the touchpad appears to have a fingerprint scanner built right in, on the top right-hand corner. Specs-wise, the new machine will get a 7th-gen Core i5-7200U running at a maximum clockspeed of 3.1GHz, with an NVidia GeForce MX150 GPU - an upgrade from the previous GTX 940MX. As for the RAM, it's still 8GB and the storage remains at 256GB SSD, with a smaller 128GB SSD option.
Pricing-wise, it's RMB4999 for the 128GB (RM3140) and the RMB5499 (RM3450) for the 256GB version. It's likely to be a China-exclusive and as for the release date, it's probably going to be soon now it's popped up online.
