If you've been considering switching over to Maxis' fibre plan, then now might be a good time.
The MaxisOne Home plans have just received a tweak in pricing, with some glorious promos as well.
A decent alternative
Besides the new lower prices, the MaxisOne Home Fibre broadband now have lower subscription fees and come with free iFlix for life, as well as RM1 add-ons for Chromecast and WiFi Extenders for the more expensive plans.
The cheapest plan offers 10Mbps for RM139 per month, which isn't too bad. If you pay RM179, you will get 30Mbps, but voice calls will be on a pay per use basis.
For an unlimited voice calls option, you will need to pay for the MaxisOne Home 30Mbps, which starts from RM189 per month. Existing users will also be able to take advantage of the new rates and anyone with 30Mbps plans or faster, will get free iFlix subscriptions for life.
There is also a promotional deal for those who sign up to the 30Mbps and faster broadband plans - they will get to pay RM1 for a Google Chromecast and an Aztech WiFi Extender is also selling for the same price.
As for the plan's tenure, customers will be signing up for a 24-month contract. You may downgrade the plan after six months, but Maxis will then renew your contract as a fresh 24-month tenure. There are no quota limits but P2P traffic will be throttled between 8PM to 2AM.
Not happy after trying it out? Don't worry, Maxis has a 30-day return guarantee with the ability to terminate with no extra charge.
