Maxis has added the recently-launched Huawei Mate 8 to its Zerolution lineup. The phone, Huawei’s latest flagship to date, is certainly impressive with a stylish metal chassis and a 6in Full HD display.
The phone also house Huawei’s own Kirin 950 processor that incorporates a 2.3GHz quad + 1.8GHz quad cores. It also comes with 4GB RAM and 64G of internal flash storage.
As for the camera it has a 16MP f2.0 back camera and an 8MP f2.0 front cam. To match its size, the phone also comes with a 4,000mAh battery, fingerprint scanner and dual-SIM support. The phone also runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Maxis is selling the Mate 8 with two colour options, namely Champagne Gold and Mocha Gold. The telco is bundling the phone with the MaxisONE plan 98 (1GB of data, RM98 monthly), MaxisONE plan 128 (3GB of data, RM128 monthly), MaxisONE plan 158 (5GB of data, RM158 monthly), MaxisONE plan 188 (8GB of data, RM188 monthly), MaxisONE Share 128 (3GB of data, RM128 monthly), MaxisONE Share 158 (5GB of data, RM158 monthly), and MaxisONE Share 188 (8GB of data, RM188 monthly).
While you could also just buy the phone outright for RM2049.89, choosing a bundle lets you opt to pay RM80 (RM67 for the phone, RM23 for optional insurance) a month instead for the phone and then opt to change to a new phone under the Zerolution plan.
Maxis isn’t including any other giveaways with the phone so if you’re hankering for free gifts you’d be better served getting the phone directly from Huawei at its flagship store or from Vmall, but that would depend on whether there’s a promotion going on.
So if you’re a Maxis customer hankering for a reason to go the Zerolution way, then the Mate 8 is one choice to look at.
