Marvel And Adidas Collide For A New Line Of Basketball Sneakers

The “Heroes Among Us” bridges sport heroes and superheroes.

Heroes come in all shapes and forms, and in terms of having abilities that are beyond that of a regular human, athletes come pretty close to being real-life superheroes. With superheroes and athletes inspiring many across the world, it’s a no-brainer for them to come together in this new collaboration.

Marvel Studios and adidas are collaborating on a new line of basketball sneakers, combining Marvel’s iconic pantheon of heroes as well as 5 of the best basketball stars of today. This new “Heroes Among Us” comes to us just in time for the release of Avengers: Endgame as well as the start of the NBA playoffs.

The first new sneaker is based on Portland Trailblazer and NBA All-Star Damian Lillard, as well as the colours of the Black Panther. These Dame 5 sneakers are decked out in the Black Panther’s signature black and purple colour scheme.

Next we have seven-time NBA All-Star and NBA Most Valuable Player, James Harden of the Houston Rockets. His signature Harden Vol. 3s get a significant upgrade with Iron Man’s iconic red and yellow colours, as well as some armour texturing on the front of the shoe.

John Wall, of No. 2 of the Washington Wizards, also gets in to the action with his own pair of N3XT L3V3L sneakers that are based on Captain America and features a red, white, and blue colours scheme. Given that John Wall plays for the Wizards, Dr. Strange might have been just as appropriate.

The new TMAC 1 sneakers are the sleekest of the bunch, appropriate as given the fact that the shoes are based on superspy Nick Fury himself, and the organisation he works for, SHIELD. These sneakers are represented by San Antonio Spurs’ Tracy McGrady.

And lastly, we have the Pro Vision sneakers based on Marvel’s latest cinematic hit, the cosmic heroine Captain Marvel. Naturally, these shoes are embodied by Candace Parker, a superstar in her own right in the WNBA, as well as the Power Guard of the Los Angeles Sparks.

Overall, this mixing of two worlds into these sneakers are sure to be a hit amongst fans of both comic books and basketball. This collaboration will be out worldwide this April 26th.
