LG Electronics unveiled its premium 2019 TV lineups including new OLED and NanoCell TV series featuring ThinQ AI at InnoFest Asia. Taking place in Sydney, Australia from March 12 to 13, InnoFest is LG’s annually held celebration of innovation.
The new TV models deliver upgraded AI picture and sound quality, underpinned by the company’s advanced second-generation Alpha 9 Gen 2 intelligent processor and deep learning algorithm. Thanks to the new algorithm, LG’s TVs will offer optimized picture and sound by analyzing source content and by recognizing ambient conditions.
The new line is what is known as NanoCell TVs. The new line highlights the stellar picture quality enabled by NanoCell technology, which provides clearer, more vibrant images, accurate colors, and an ultra-thin border and sleek design. The NanoCell series comprises fourteen AI-enabled models, available in sizes varying from 49 to 86 inches.
LG’s premium range for the Asian market is headlined by the flagship OLED TV lineup, which offers a variety of screen sizes. The company has also added the world’s first 8K OLED TV to its premium OLED TV series. The 8K OLED TV in particular, is notable for being the recipient of the CES 2019 Innovation Award.
Along with all these new innovations, LG has added support for Amazon Alexa, complementing built-in Google Assistant. Also new to LG’s 2019 TV lineup is support for Apple AirPlay 2 and Apple HomeKit. We’ll learn more of these new TVs as they are unveiled and brought over to us here in Malaysia.
