We’re not too far away from the biggest annual global tech show that unveils the latest in innovations. If you haven’t yet already figured what we’re on about, it’s CES 2015. And LG might have something special for us then.
If you recall, LG made available its curved G Flex sometime early last year, and we’ve barely heard of a successor since; until now that is. According to some “unnamed sources” of Android Authority's, this second generation curved smartphone is set to be shown off in all its glory at CES 2015 (the show starts on 6 January).
But not much details about the device was let out of the bag – all we know for now is that the new device will be a “major upgrade” to its predecessor and will feature a high resolution plastic-based OLED screen in a smaller body. Of course, the chances of it boasting a dramatic curved form factor (since it’s allegedly called G Flex 2) are pretty high.
The sources have also indicated that the LG G Flex’s self-healing coating feature will make a comeback on its successor, but in an improved form. There won’t be any bendgate problem with it too – the device is said to be flexible enough without sustaining any damage.
We’re just about a month away from CES 2015, so you won’t have to wait too long before you find out more about this flexi unit. Let’s just hope LG has it at the event for us to bring you all the details about it.
