The Lenovo Vibe Z3 Pro might be an unexpected unveil at MWC 2015

If the leaks and rumours surrounding Samsung’s alleged Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S Edge, or HTC’s One (M9) and One (M9) Plus smartphones have been bombarding your newsfeed, here’s one you have yet to hear about.

Apparently Lenovo’s got a smartphone in the works too, and it’s all set to be unveiled at MWC 2015, just like the other mobile units mentioned above. Thanks to Chinese social network, Weibo, the device’s hardware specs and leaked images have made their way online.

It’s said to be named the Lenovo Vibe Z3 Pro, and by the looks of it, it’s a top-end unit. Aesthetically, it seems classy in design with what looks like really thin bezels and a display that stretches from end to end.

Its make is allegedly of glass and metal, with a brushed alumimium back (this design has been on some of Lenovo’s previous models) and an aluminium frame. The Lenovo Vibe Z3 Pro’s display is said to be 5.5in in, with QHD capabilities – slightly smaller than its 6in predecessor. It’s also got a smaller battery, one with 3,400mAh instead of 4,000mAh.

As for its innards, you can expect it to be powered by the most top-end Snapdragon processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of onboard storage, which might have a microSD slot for memory expansion.

And all you picture takers will be glad to know that the smartphone allegedly packs a 16MP back snapper with optical image stabilisation and laser focusing, a flash with three differently tinted LEDs, and a hardware shutter button. Pretty fancy, hey.
