Latest iOS update fixes autofocus issues

iOS 11.2.1 also comes with other bug fixes for tvOS and HomeKit

If your iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X has been having autofocus issues triggered by iOS 11.2, you'll be glad to know the bug has been addressed in Apple’s latest update.

The update comes less than two weeks after Apple rushed out iOS 11.2 to rectify a bug in iOS 11.1.12 which caused iPhones to crash when their calendars rolled over to 2 December. iOS 11.2 also introduced faster wireless charging and Apple Pay Cash - along with a HomeKit vulnerability that allowed unauthorised access to HomeKit accessories, prompting Apple to disable remote access to shared HomeKit users.

The latest 11.1.2 release reenables this access and addresses other minor bug fixes. To get started on it, just head to Settings > General > Software Update.

The update is also available on tvOS.

Simultaneously, Apple has rolled out new betas to developers, namely iOS 11.2.5, watchOS 4.2.2, and tvOS 11.2.5. An Apple HomePod 11.2.5 beta has also been spotted ahead of the speaker's launch next year.
