Kodak smartphone finally out, question is who'll buy it?

Kodak phone is expensive for such modest specs

The Kodak IM5 has been announced over five months ago and finally we are able to see it being launched, sadly only in the Netherlands. The phone is currently selling for US$437.

It comes with a 5-inch 720p display, a Mediatek MT 6532 chipset with 1.7GHz octa-core processor but only 1GB of memory. Internal storage capacity is only at 8GB but expendable up to 32GB via microSD and a 2,100mAh battery.

The phone is fitted with a 13MP main shooter with a little manual control and focus and comes with easy sharing and printing. The phone runs on a customised Android KitKat build, but promises an update to Lollipop. Profoundly unexciting unfortunately so we hope that Kodak can do better than this.
