It's iOS update time: iOS 10.3 is here

Among other things, better security and Find Your AirPods are now available

It's that time for yes, an iOS update as iOS 10.3 is now available to everyone.

Two-factor authentication finally

The update is around 650MB, and is available for the iPhone 5 and later, iPad 4th generation and later, and the iPod touch 6th generation and later.

Once installed, iOS will inform you that two-factor authentication is now available and allow you to set it up. If you are facing issues, such as the authentication message not coming in, you can skip it and iOS will remind you to set it up later - easily done in the Settings.

A quirk that had displayed the iCloud login on the lock screen, has been fixed so it no longer displays.

Most anticipated was the Find my AirPods feature, which is now available for all AirPod users with 10.3. Its one weakness is that the AirPods need to be connected to be discovered, but once detected, the AirPods will emit a sound - allowing for their detection.

You can now use Siri to call an Uber - the AI will even ask what kind of Uber you wish to use. Unfortunately there's no Grab integration so Grab users are out of luck.

Apple's CarPlay also saw a few tweaks to its interface as well, and good news for cricket fans: Siri can now tell you cricket scores.

The iOS 10.3 update will also be necessary for some apps to work - such as the upcoming Clips application. So if you're looking forward to that, best update your iOS in preparation.
