Vivo IQOO Gaming Smartphone Launches in China

Snapdragon 855 with a competitive pricing

As per the information leaked, Vivo’s sub-brand IQOO has officially announced their first phone in China and it is sporting the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, up to 12GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, and a 4,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging.

Well, now we have the full picture, and we know that there is four RAM and storage variants that you could get, with a starting price at a head-turning RMB2,998 (approx. MYR1,825)! This base configuration available is 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. Continuing on is the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage at RMB3,298 (approx. MYR2,005), 8GB RAM + 256GB storage at RMB3,598 (approx. MYR2,190), and finally the top daddy of them all - 12GB RAM + 256GB storage at RMB4,298 (approx. MYR2,615)

Common features across the variants include Super Liquid Cooling that keeps temperatures down and performance up by 45%, Monster Touch (which sound more inappropriate the more I think about it) is similar to that of the air triggers of the ROG Gaming Phone that allows you to remap inputs for games, and finally Multi-Turbo, a deck of softwares that optimises almost everything in your phone - AI Turbo, Center Turbo, Net Turbo, Cooling Turbo and Game Turbo.

The 44W Fast Charging, which IQOO claims charges the phone to 50 percent in 15 minutes, 85 percent in 30 minutes and 100 percent in 45 minutes, is not available to the base model, getting only 22.5W fast charging. If you’re concerned about exclusions for the camera, don’t worry - all the models will carry the same triple rear camera setup with 12MP + 13MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP depth sensor plus a single 12MP selfie camera.

Further details on pricing and availability for other regions have not been provided, but rest assured that once that information is there for Malaysia, we’ll let you know right away. So, stay tuned to Stuff Asia for further updates.
