Every September we will see a new iPhone being launched, as is Apple's habit. What's the latest news about the suppose iPhone 6s? Force Touch, apparently.
Rumours are that the Force Touch feature will be available on the iPhone 6s/6s Plus and will be the main selling point for both these devices. There has been some controversy on whether the feature that was first debuted on the MacBook 12 will be available on either or both the devices.
On size, the source states that the 4.7- and 5.5-inch sizes will remain but the rumoured 4-inch may just stay a rumour. The larger model may be installed with sapphire glass display, that is if and when supply issues are resolved or they may release a limited edition with the special protection while the regular models are fitted with Ion-X glass. It is also alleged that the upcoming iPhones will be fitted with Apple’s new A9 chipset and RAM will be juiced up to 2GB. As for the camera, there will be a an upgrade to a 12MP sensor.
The source stated that the new iPhones will go into production as early as August this year and Apple expects to sell 80 – 90 million units. If this is true, expect a lot of iPhone envy from even the current batch of iPhone 6 users.
