Intel’s 9th generation of i5 and i7 processors are currently the industry standards, especially with all of the latest laptops that has since come out this past year. Of course, it didn’t take long for Intel to announce their 10th generation line of processors and it would be even sooner for companies to start using it on their products.
It’s no secret that ever since Lenovo took over the Thinkpad line, they’ve been doing a great job at keeping that iconic Thinkpad look while also innovating the models with the best of modern computing innovations. Lenovo has announced today that they’ll be updating their Thinkpad X1 Yoga and X1 Carbon with new Intel 10th Gen Comet Lake processing chips.
The new Thinkpad X1 Carbon will be available with either i5, i7, and even i7 Hexacore processors, with the X1 Yoga also getting the i5 and i7 10th Gen processors. While these two Thinkpads are getting a major processing upgrade, aesthetically they will not be getting any changes from the current 2018 models.
Overall, these two powerhouse laptops will be released sometime in September, with the X1 Carbon retailing for about MYR 6,300, while the X1 Yoga will be priced at around MYR 6,800. Hopefully, we’ll know of a proper Malaysian release date soon.
