The Huawei P8 Max is the big daddy version of the 5.2-inch Huawei P8, for people who just have to have that larger screen.
And when we say 'larger screen' we really mean it. It's a 6.8-inch whopper of an IPS display, although given that it has to make do with a 1080p resolution, its 323 pixels-per-inch might not satisfy the most discerning of screen freaks among you. Huawei claims it brings awesome colour to the table, though.
To try and make use of that ridiculously huge screen, the P8 Max lets you run a couple of apps side-by-side, just like Samsung’s phones.
That extra size isn’t just about the screen either. The Max packs a 4360mAh battery that Huawei claims will last for more than two days of normal use. What its ‘normal use’ is remains anyone’s guess, but that is a bit more capacity than you get in the 7-inch Nexus 7, so we have high hopes for its stamina. Plus, you’ll probably end up using it a bit less anyway, given it won’t fit in your pocket.
It’s not giant in every respect though. The Huawei P8 Max is just 6.8mm thick and has a snazzy metal shell just like the P8.
Other elements are just like the vanilla P8. You get a 13-megapixel camera, and an octa-core Kirin 930 processor.
How much? We only have Euro prices so far, but the 32GB will set you back €550 (RM2160) and the 64GB version €650 (RM2550).
