The Huawei Mate S is launching next Tuesday. The Mate S was announced earlier during IFA 2015 and features a "Force Touch" display which not only senses movement on the screen, but also pressure. It looks only slightly larger than the Honor 7 and also features a fingerprint scanner at the back.
The Mate 7 is installed with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by Huawei's in-house Kirin 935 octa-core proccesor paired with 3GB of RAM. Malaysia will be getting the 32GB expandable storage variant while other selected markets will be having the 64GB and 128GB variants. the phone has a 13MP f/2.0 RGBW sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation and dual-flash while the front features a 8MP f/2.4 sensor which has its own soft-flash.
The greatest feature of the phone is the aforemetioned "Force Touch" display which allows its users to zoom, scroll and much more with different gestures and different pressure as the phone was unveiled in IFA 2015 by using it's display as a weighing scale. All these cool features are powered by a 2,700mAh battery making the total weight of the phone at 156 grams with a thickness of 7.2mm. The device will be running on Android 5.1 with Huawei's EMUI 5.0 interfaces and supports 4G LTE and dual-sim.
One sad thing to note through all that explanation, we Malaysians are likely not getting the model with "Force Touch" as it is only available in the 128GB storage variant.
