It looks like the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro is coming to Malaysia this week. With the Huawei Malaysia's Ecosystem Conference 2019 happening this Thursday, October 3 2019, the device is set to be announced during the event, along with its local pricing and specs.
Other than that, the conference will focus on Huawei Mobile Services and what it has to offer for Malaysian developers. According to Huawei, the official Malaysian pricing for the Mate 30 series as well as its exclusive ownership program will be announced at the event.
Usually Huawei flagship launches in Malaysia are big events on its own, but it looks like the Mate 30 series is getting a low key launch, as it's being slotted in between a major event that's going to cover Huawei's ecosystem. It also doesn't help that it's only allocated 20 minutes in the event as well.
If you're unaware, the Mate 30 series comes with controversy as it will not be launched with any Google Services - so no Google Drive, Google Photos, Google keyboard, Gmail, YouTube and more. Which is likely why the conference is necessary to help Huawei educate Malaysia about its own app ecosystem and services, as it has its own controversy with concerns of privacy and security.
Still, it should be interesting to see how this ecosystem fares as well as whether the Mate 30 series will be happily welcomed by Malaysian tech enthusiasts.
