The Honor MagicBook is set to arrive in Malaysia soon, along with the Honor 9X Pro. This is the first time for the Honor MagicBook to enter the Malaysian market and it's definitely something to look forward to, but during a hands-on moment with the device that's meant to enter the Malaysian market we were all hit with the realisation; this isn't the latest MagicBook 14 that was launched in 2019.
Instead, we're getting the 2018 version which is the first generation. This means you can expect differences such as the webcam being above the screen instead of hidden within the keyboards, and instead of getting the Intel Core series, the one we're getting is using an AMD Ryzen R5-3500U. You will still get the fingerprint login though!
ther specs to look out for with this version includes an 8GB memory, and a PCIe NVMe SSD storage capacity at 512GB. As it is the Honor MagicBook 14, you're getting a 14-inch IPS LCD display with a maximum resolution at Full HD only, and no it won't have a touch display, something that the later models has.
Other than that, the device is capable of opening up close to 180 degrees, though I wouldn't recommend doing it considering the device isn't a touch screen and it doesn't lie flat when you do attempt it.
Honor Malaysia has yet to reveal a price yet but will soon, likely together with the Honor 9X Pro as well.
