We announced yesterday on the announcement of the HONOR 9x series. Well, that's not the only device that's set to be launched; Honor has also announced the HONOR Band 5 and it's coming with plenty of impressive features; the biggest being the blood oxygen monitor.
Honor claims that this new feature important for two reasons; it helps as part of the sleep monitoring feature and helps detect fatigue. For example, if your blood oxygen levels drop to below 90%, then it’s an indication to take a break.
In terms of specs, the HONOR Band 5 will include a 0.95-inch AMOLED 240 x 120 display, and a 100mAh battery that HONOR claims will give the Band 5 a 14-day battery life. It also comes with activity tracking that covers 10 different sports, as well as a real-time heart monitor. There is also a variant with NFC that can be used to make mobile payments.
The HONOR Band 5 is set to be priced at CNY189 (~RM113) and CNY219 (~RM131) for the standard and NFC versions, respectively. The former set to be available in China starting 24 July, while the latter will become available on 29 July. No news yet on when this will be available in Malaysia.
