Huawei has closed the year with yet another phone, the Honor 9 Lite.

A ‘lighter’ take

With a 5.65in display and an 18:9 screen ratio, it supports FullHD+ resolution and runs Android Oreo, with Huawei’s own Emotion UI on top.

As for cameras, it has dual cameras both in the front and in back. Interestingly, both get 13MP + 2MP combos and both also support Full HD video capture.

Specs-wise, the Honor 9 Lite runs a Kirin 659 processor. Choose from a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage combo or the higher-spec 4GB RAM/64GB version. The 3000mAh battery supports Huawei’s Super Charge fast-charging feature.

Pricing is set at RMB1199 (RM745) for the 3GB variant and RMB1499 (RM930) for the 4GB version with 32GB. The 4GB option with 64GB storage will go for RMB1799 (RM1120). The phone comes in Navy Blue, Seagull Gray, Magic Nightfall and Pearl White, and will sell in China from 26 December. Apparently the UK, India and Russia will also see the phone soon.
