If you haven't heard, there's a new phone in Huawei's popular Honor series and lucky number 8 in the series.
Honor Malaysia has lined up some fun activities leading to the launch happening 6 Sept, clever marketing to garner interest in the phone which, looks like it might just ape the success of the previous Honor 6 and Honor 7 phones.
The Honor flagships have generally been well received, mixing decent specs with a not-too-high price point and the Honor 8 has so far been getting pretty good notice thanks to a decent feature set and an attractive glass design.
Besides the 2.5D glass covering the phone, the phone sports a Kirin 950 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB storage, a fingerprint sensor and smart key and a dual-lens 12MP rear camera with an 8MP front camera. The phone is said to cost slightly more than the Honor 7, but we'll see what the pricing is like once it officially launches here.
Honor fans have been encouraged to join the special Honor 8 contest going on from 26 Aug to 2 Sept, which gives them the chance to buy the phone. Register with Vmall, give 8 reasons why you deserve the phone on the official Honor Facebook page and wait for the announcement on 7 Sept.
Registering on the official Honor 8 Vmall page will also get you a free gift pack (worth RM500) with each purchase. The page also hosts a little online game diversion, namely Honor 8 Go, a cheeky take on the Pokémon Go craze.
