Gaming subscriptions have been a thing this year, and with Apple Arcade and even Google's very own Stadia lined up, it looks like Google is also bringing the world of gaming subscriptions to mobile as they officially announced the Google Play Pass.
The Google Play Pass enables users to access apps and games without any ads or in-app purchases in exchange for a monthly fee. In other words, the subscription service allows users to enjoy their apps and games completely unlocked with no need to pay anything else further.
Of course, this only applies to certain games. Currently, there are more than 350 apps and games that are part of Play Pass catalogue, with new apps and games to be added every month according to Google’s announcement. On the plus side, according to Google Play Family Library, up to five family members can share one’s Play Pass subscription.
Unfortunately, the Play Pass is only available for those in the United States, but there will be a proper monthly price for international markets to be announced very soon. For now, the Play Pass is priced at USD4.99 (~MYR21) per month, but Google has a special offer of USD1.99 (~MYR9) per month for the first 12 months in conjunction with the launch.
