Keep an eye out, Xiaomi might be working on yet another tablet

Mi fans, the rumoured Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 due for an appearance in the coming weeks or months is just the tip of the iceberg. Think big, like another MiPad to add on to your wish list.

Word’s out on the street that the company’s looking to expand its tablet offerings. Thus far, it’s only unveiled its 7.9in MiPad) but a leaked benchmark result leak points to a 9.2in tablet in the making.

The unofficial device will apparently have a 1280 x 720 low-resolution touch-screen panel, which is unlike what is showcased on most other Android tablets – they usually have a 1280 x 800 resolution with a slightly squarer aspect ratio. But then again, the MiPad didn’t feature a standard resolution and aspect ratio either.

Its insides are expected to be spec-filled. If the rumours are true, the unit will have a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, an Adreno 306 GPU, and 1GB of RAM. It might also come with built-in internal storage space of 8GB, of which about 5.8GB will be user accessible.

However, barely any other information of the tablet’s specifications were included in the leak. Nothing was mentioned about the device’s camera, but it did specify that it would house a SIM card slot (read: integrated mobile data connectivity) in addition to Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi functionality.

We’re banking on more leaks, as should you, to provide some meat around the possibility of the tablet’s arrival before we get our hopes too high.
