Galaxy S6 Active pictures surface, shows a rugged device

More news about the next in Samsung's Active lineup

New alleged photos of an AT&T branded Galaxy S6 Active surfaced today, a departure from Samsung's usual sleek and smooth design but showing off more of a rugged back exterior. It still came  with the Active series’ signature buttons on the front.

From the pictures, you can see the same position for the camera and fingerprint sensor on the back and you can also see an AT&T logo just below. The back casing is now a thick black shell and the front has the signature Active physical keys but the device may lack a  fingerprint reader, much like last year’s S5 Active.

We don’t have much on the specs other than that the S6 Active will be fitted with a 3,500mAh battery which is much larger than the regular S6’s 2,550mAh battery. Aside from that, the rest of the specs may be similar to the standard S6. With everything in place, we don’t think that we will have to wait that long for the S6 Active to be launch, probably towards the end of May and the beginning of June.
