Samsung has officially revealed the Galaxy A8, and it’s the thinnest handset to ever leave its factory doors.
While it’s not the thinnest phone in the world (that honour goes to the ridiculously svelte 4.75mm thin Vivo X5 Max), it’s by no means chubby, measuring in at just 5.9mm thick.
Its all-metal build, 5.7in 1080p AMOLED screen and 4G support belie its mid-range innards, which consist of a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor and 2GB of RAM.
An 8MP rear camera, a generous 3050mAh battery and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop round off the spec sheet.
If you fancy picking one up for yourself then you’ll need to jet on over to China, where it’s available to pre-order in white, black or gold.
There’s no word on Malaysia pricing or release dates, but we’ll let you know if Samsung decides to send its new size zero handset our way.
