Nintendo has released the mobile version of its Animal Crossing game, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

A simplified version

While the original version had you becoming mayor of a quaint little town, Pocket Camp instead has you playing a shopkeeper. There'll be a lot of microtransaction potential for this - and from the looks of it it might end up being a lot like a cuter version of Farmville.

The app's dedicated website also has guides as well as handy information on the game's characters. Not so great? The autoplaying bacground music.

If you have a US account, the game is already available on Google Play and App Store.
