BlackBerry is not dead, yet. And to prove your undying, resilient love for your better half (just like how BlackBerry’s still sticking around), you might want to get him/her the BlackBerry Passport smartphone.
And before you snigger and go “Who would pay that much for a BlackBerry Passport?” perhaps the fact that the company’s giving a discount on the unit could sway your decision.
Just to mark Valentine’s Day, the company’s reduced the price on the unit by US$100 (RM358) in the US and CAD$125 (RM358) in Canada. This promo pricing would mean that its price will drop to as low as S$499 (RM1786) in the US (for the black or white option) and US$599 (RM2144) for the red alternative.
But the discount is only available during the Valentine’s Day weekend, and is only applicable to the US and Canada (sorry to those of you living elsewhere).
As for Canada, the cut will be made directly on the Canadian manufacturer’s official online store. It will run through 16 February and will apply to all three colours of the handset (black, white, and red).
If you need an update on its specs, it’s a 4.5in, square screened unit powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, with 3GB of RAM, A 13MP camera with optical image stabilisation, as well as a whopping 3450mAh battery - the largest ever from a major manufacturer.
So for those of you living outside of the US and Canada, we’re sure you’ve got your own ways to secure yourselves – or your loved ones – a unit even if the offer’s only available in the west. So go on and seal your love with the BlackBerry Passport.
