You’ve got to admit – the sight of a flip smartphone is pretty rare these days.
So when we see one show up in leaks, you can’t blame us for getting excited over it. Let's double the excitement - it's a Samsung device rumoured with high-end specs. Though, dubbing it the Samsung Galaxy Golden 2 kind of killed off the excitement.
The purported Samsung Galaxy Golden 2 was shown in a leaked manual. It's said to have an improved screen, which was the most disappointing feature of the original Galaxy Golden.
Sources claim the new unit will sport two identical screens on the inside and outside – 4.6in Super AMOLEDs with WXGA resolution (1280 x 768 pixels). This is a significant increase from the 3.7in/3.5in WVGA screens on the Galaxy Golden.

In addition, the processing power could be receiving a boost with a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz chipset and comes with 2GB RAM and Adreno 330. The phone is said to run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
As for the smartphone’s camera, selfies/wefie addicts will be pleased to know that it could be beefed up with a 16MP main camera with 2160p video capture as well as a 2MP front-facing snapper.
The Samsung Galaxy Golden 2 might also come out of the box with two microSIM slots, and GSM and CDMA connectivity. However, the manual showed no sign of any LTE connectivity details.
It’s said to be heading to China Telecom for now, so we may not actually see one on our shores.
