Come 5 August, Lenovo will unveil its K920 smartphone

Not much has been revealed about Lenovo’s K920 flagship smartphone in the past, until now. Its marketing general manager, Wang Yan, has confirmed via his Weibo account that the Chinese multi-national company will soon take the wrappers off the device.

He put up a teaser image on it, showing just the camera of the model (which may be called Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro according to sources) supported by some text in Chinese - although, the text doesn’t relate to the product itself; it’s apparently some sort of poetry.

This glimpse of the model validates that the unit will feature a 16MP back snapper with optical image stabilisation and dual-LED flash. Besides this one piece of vital information, it doesn’t really give away anything else about the smartphone though, so bring on the leaks!

Although, some other rumours have indicated that the K920 will boast a 6in display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with quad core 2.5GHz processor, as well as 3GB RAM.

The upcoming flagship from Lenovo is also expected to have a 5MP front facing camera, so you can be sure that your selfies will be of high quality, and 32GB of internal storage – but unfortunately, there’s no indication if it can be expanded.

It’s most likely going to run on Android 4.4 KitKat and could be wrapped in a brushed aluminium body, unlike the LG G3, which wears a brushed metal looking plastic body.

The pricing of the unit hasn’t yet been divulged, but with Yan confirming its launch on 5 August, we don’t have to endure an arduously long wait before we find out.
