PowerShot G5 X Mark II and PowerShot G7 X Mark III
Powered by Canon’s DIGIC 8 Processor, the key highlight of the two cameras is its 1-inch stacked CMOS sensor, which is larger than sensors typically found in compact cameras. This enhances the cameras’ performance with faster autofocus to produce crisp, clear shots in almost any light.
With a newly designed f/1.8- 2.8 lens with 24-120mm focal range which provides a 5x zoom (the PowerShot G7 X Mark III has 24-100mm focal range, giving 4.2x zoom), the PowerShot G5 X Mark II is poised to handle anything from shooting portraits to macro close-ups of 0.47x magnification and is excellent for creating shallow depth of field effects.
One major challenge of shooting fast-moving subjects is capturing that one perfect frame when the subject is in focus and in the desired position. The PowerShot G5 X Mark II and PowerShot G7 X Mark III lets you do just that with a pre-shoot setting will start shooting at 0.5 seconds before you even press the shutter release button. Hence, the moment will still be captured even if you press the shutter button a split second later. Photographs can be taken at a high speed of 30 shots per second in RAW burst mode (and 20fps in jpeg), making sure you miss nothing, especially if you are capturing jump shots or your child blowing out candles on a birthday cake.
Both cameras include a panoramic mode, activated by a simple push of a button. With horizontal or vertical panning, you can easily capture panoramic shots with amazing details in high quality.
RF24-240mm f/4-6.3 IS USM Lens
The first 10x optical high-magnification zoom lens with a 35mm full-frame compatible RF mount, this single lens covers a broad range from 24mm wide angle to 240mm telephoto shooting, with the ability to capture everything –landscapes, close-up scenes and portraits. Whether users want to capture an enhanced sense of depth at the wide-angle end or make use of background compression effects and bokeh at the telephoto end, the RF24-240mm f/4- 6.3 IS USM enables versatile photography that is customizable for a vast variety of shooting needs.
Despite its wide zoom range capabilities, the RF24-240mm f/4-6.3 IS USM only weighs around 750g, allowing those who travel light to take full advantage of a 35mm full-frame camera, particularly when paired with the EOS RP.
No news yet on when it will be officially available to the Malaysian market.
