BlackBerry Leap preorders open on 11street

The price isn't too bad, but will it be enough to get people to order?

Surprise, surprise, the BlackBerry Leap has made an appearance on new online shopping portal 11street. For RM1,089 (GST included) you get not only the phone but a cap and leather pocket if you're the first 100 to order one.

The specs on the Leap are on the low-side if you compare what you could get for that price from the likes of Oppo, Huawei and Xiaomi. Dualcore, 1.2GHz, no support for OTG, NFC and a mere 8MP camera? At the very least it does have 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM but apart from the BlackBerry virtual keyboard, we're not sure what else the phone has going for it.

You could say the phone is strictly for BlackBerry diehards as the price-to-specs ratio really don't favour the device.

If you want your own Leap, then hop to the website. We won't judge you.
