Belkin gets cooking with a wireless Crock-Pot

The Crock-Pot WeMo Slow Cooker (now that’s a mouthful) now makes cooking a wireless affair
Belkin gets cooking with a wireless Crock-Pot

We knew that eventually, there’d be an app that actually lets us cook. Well in this case it’s with the help of a WeMo enabled Crock-Pot. Part of Belkin’s partnership with Jarden (who owns the Crock-Pot, Mr. Coffee and Sunbeam appliance lines), you’ll be able to control this little cooker with your mobile phone, with the help of the WeMo app.

The Crock-Pot looks like any ordinary cooking appliance you’d find in a kitchen and the simple controls makes it look deceptively simple, but the presence of the ever recognisable Wi-Fi logo shows that it’s more than just a simple Crock-Pot.

With the WeMo app, you can turn the Crock-Pot on or off, adjust temperatures, and set the timers. It’ll even send out reminders so you won’t overcook your lunch or dinner.

The Crock-Pot is only the first of other WeMo enabled devices from Belkin. More are expected, including an air purifier, space heater and coffee maker.
