During Computex 2015 in Taiwan recently, ASUS announced new ZenPads with back covers that also added functions to the tablets.
ASUS has released the ZenPad 8.0 and S 8.0, and shortly after came the cheaper ZenPads like the C 7.0, 7.0, and the larger ZenPad 10. For the upcoming launch this Friday, we will most likely see the Zenpad 8.0 and the S 8.0. The Zenpad 8.0 is fitted with a 8-inch 1280 x 800 display and is powered by an Intel Atom X3 processor and either 1GB or 2GB of RAM. The ZenPad S 8.0 on the other hand has higher specs, with an 8-inch 2048 x 1536 display and powered by an Intel Atom Z3580 processor with 4GB of RAM, and it uses USB type C.
Some of the back covers that you can interchange includes a power case that extends the battery life of your tablet for up to 15 hours and an audio case that gives you DTS 5.1 surround sound with its built in 6 extra speakers. The ZenPad S 8.0 includes a stylus that is quite similar to Samsung’s S-pen.
