Get excited. There’s a new smartphone range in town, and we’re talking the Asus ZenFone series.
Much like the Buddhist idealogy it's named after, its appeal lies in its simplicity - many features, low price, great value for money.
The collection, comprising the ZenFone 4, 5, and 6, was introduced for Southeast Asia at a press event in Jakarta today.
Asus chairman, Jonney Shih, announced the local availability of the lineup, and elaborated on the exclusive ASUS ZenUI mobile interface.
That’s good news for all of you who have been waiting eagerly for the phones to reach our shores.
"We are very excited to bring this empowering luxury to consumers in Southeast Asia. When we set foot on this journey of in search of incredible, we aim to create the most extraordinary phone for everyone to enjoy," he said.
What's the skinny?
There has been much hype has been surrounding the mobiles (especially the Asus ZenFone 5) and we know you’d love its 5-inch 1,280 x 720 HD IPS+ display, thin design and 8-megapixel camera, amongst others.
That’s a cheaper alternative to some of the more costly smartphones currently out in the market, we’d say.
Also available in 4in and 6in, the ZenFone series aims to appeal to every consumer segment.
The ZenFone 4, with a 4in display, features a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 processor with Quad-Thread Hyper-Threading Technology (meaning its a smartphone that never leaves the user waiting for a response), and has storage capacity of up to 64GB.
The ZenFone 6 sports 1,280 x 720 HD IPS+ display, complemented by the Asus SonicMaster audio technology, for immersive entertainment experiences.
The ZenFone 4 and 6 will be available in Charcoal Black, Pearl White and Cherry Red colours for those of you who would like to differentiate yourselves from the mainstream, while the ZenFone 5 comes in Charcoal Black and Pearl White only.
The ZenFone 4 will be available at RM299, ZenFone 5 at RM599, and the ZenFone 6 at RM899.
