Art in Video games exhibition being held in Malaysia

Video game fanboys, it’s time for you to get artsy-fartsy. The One Academy together with Ubisoft Singapore is hosting an art exhibition from the 13 to 19 of March that focuses on art in video games.

It’s not all video games though. Since it is co-hosted by Ubisoft Singapore, most of the artwork you’ll be seeing are from their games including Ghost Recon Online and Assasin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

So what can we expect from the exhibition? About 40 pieces of concept art from the above mentioned two games. As some of you might know, Ubisoft’s later Assassin Creed games were partially developed over in Singapore and most of the pieces will be focused on the work that they did; from a vast array of pirate activities and more than 10 different ships.

And if you want even more reasons to go, there’ll be a live drawing session with a Ubisoft artist on the 15th at 4.30pm that will demonstrate how the art for a game is created.

Don’t worry you won’t need to pony up any cash for the exhibit since its totally free. So just head over to the One Academy Art Gallery at Bandar Sunway and get a little bit of culture, a gaming one that is.
