Aria is a small add-on that clips underneath a smartwatch band, that allows the user to be able to control the device with just finger gestures. Your other hand is then free to do something else, like eat, drink or write news about Aria.
The clip on remote control can access any feature that you usually access by touching the screen of the watch but without the aforementioned hassle. The gestures include tapping, flicking your fingers, and opening and closing your hand. You are able to configure which gesture does what with its companion app.
Aria connects to your smartwatch via Bluetooth Low Energy, so it doesn’t require a battery on its own. The Kickstarter for the accessory is already in the works and they plan to put it up next week as its designers have already created two versions of the accessory for both Pebble Time and Android Wear watches. The Android Wear version will cost quite a bit at US$169, but for Android Wear, just US$69. According to TechCrunch, the clip-on is also able to control iPhone and iPad apps but definitely won’t work on Apple Watch.
