Think Face ID makes buying apps on your iPhone X easier? Not quite.
No shared purchases with your face
The feature can only be used to unlock single-user purchases, not family ones. No word from Apple yet as to whether this is intentional or something developers missed, but what it means is that if you have a lot of family-shared purchases planned, you'll have to go back to using password entry for them - which could be a pain once you get used to Face ID.
Seeing how twins, family members and even lookalike Asians (and weird masks) have managed to get past the facial unlock feature though, that may be no bad thing. Watch this space for more updates.
