Apple might surprise us with not two but four iPhone 6 units

Holy moly! The freedom to choose or just a plain headache when you have to decide on one?
Apple may surprise us with not two but four iPhone 6 units

Just when we thought having a choice between two possible iPhone 6 units is going to be a tough decision, XtremeGuard drops a hint that suggests there’s going to be not two but four iPhone 6 models.

This is the first of such a speculation and it emerged when the accessory maker posted a listing on its website for screen protectors for the range. Apparently, there’s going to be an iPhone 6 and iPhone 6C in 4.7in and 5.5in sizes each.

It might sound too good to be true, but you can’t axe the possibility. Looking back, Apple took the covers off the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C last year – the first time it outed two smartphone devices at the same time. So who knows, anything is possible.

History may repeat itself

So if Apple does make these four models, there could be a differentiation in its marketing strategy – if we follow the iPhone hierarchy of the iPhone 5S and the 5C, where the former was pitted for a high-end premium market while the latter was for a mid-tier segment, the same could apply for the iPhone 6 and the 6C.

Plus, don’t forget – there might be a choice in size regardless of which of the two you pick from.  If rumour has it right, the iPhones may also boast an almost indestructible glass screen, have wireless charging and NFC support features, and even come in a new dark grey colour.

And if we’re lucky enough, we could be seeing them on 19 September, if this promotional flyer posted by a Weibo user is any indication
