AMD Celebrates 50th Anniversary with ‘Gold Edition’ Ryzen CPU and Radeon GPU

Includes extra goodies for fans as part of the celebration.

Not many tech companies can say that they have reached the 50th anniversary of being in the industry. Advanced Micro Devices (aka AMD) is one such company that has been around since May 1st 1969. AMD is making several announcements to commemorate its 50th anniversary milestone, including the launch of ‘Gold Edition’ versions of the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X processor and AMD Radeon VII graphics card.

The AMD Ryzen 7 2700X processor is one of AMD’s best and is renowned worldwide. The new Gold Edition version includes AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su’s signature imprinted on the processor cover and a special gold AMD50 packaging. It is available now for a limited time for $329 USD or around MYR 1,360, available in North America, Latin America, Europe, Greater China and the Asia Pacific region.

The AMD Radeon VII is the world's first 7nm gaming graphics card, delivering exceptional performance and amazing experiences for the latest AAA, eSports and Virtual Reality (VR) titles, demanding 3D rendering and video editing applications, and next-generation compute workloads. The new Gold Edition graphics card features a red shroud and gold AMD50 packaging, and is available for a limited time.

Customers who purchase Gold Edition AMD Ryzen processors and Radeon graphics cards from April 29 to June 8, 2019 will also receive two bonus gifts. The first being the AMD50 Game Bundle, in which consumers will receive a coupon code for a free PC version of the upcoming World War Z. They will also receive a coupon code for a free PC version of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Gold Edition, which includes a Year 1 Season Pass providing one-week early access to all Year 1 Episodes; as well as an exclusive AMD50 in-game armband. On top of that, every Gold Edition AMD Ryzen and Radeon product will include an AMD50 sticker signed by the AMD CEO and a coupon to redeem a free AMD 50th anniversary T-shirt.
