Adidas wants you to run for the oceans

Take part in a digital run with Adidas x Parley to show your support for the oceans

Adidas has teamed up with ocean advocates Parley for the Oceans for World Oceans Week (5-11 June) and you can be a part of it too, by putting on your own running shoes.

Running with other people virtually

There will be a special Run for the Oceans on World Oceans Day, that will happen at night in New York City - a collective of 500 runners in a 5km run. Obviously we can't all make it to New York but for everyone else, a special digital run is happening from 5-11 June which you can register for here.

Via a collaboration with the Runtastic app, you can listen to a dedicated Story Run while you jog - learning about the oceans and Parley's efforts to help conserve them. By signing up, you can contribute your mileage to the effort, joining runners all over the world advocating for the seas.

The Story Run is based on "unconscious interval training" - basically giving you a nice workout while you jog for a good cause.

Also worth checking out is Adidas x Parley special running shoes, created by recycling plastic waste. The new shoes are due to be launched 10 May.
