Acer launches the new Spin 5 and more

Fresh tech-y bits to fill up your Christmas wish list
We are part of The Trust Project What is it?

Just in time for Christmas, Acer has rolled out a slew of new products that promise to improve the entire browsing, usage and gaming experience.

First up in the line-up is the new Acer Spin 5 that bends over backwards (literally) to make sure you get your work done. Along with the usual display mode, there's a "tent" mode that allows you to prop it up like a, well, tent on any surface. Made with the new 8th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processors with up to 16GB of DDR4 memory and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 in the 15.6in model, the Spin 5 features support for the Active Stylus and Windows Ink along with Acer TrueHarmony technology. The latter ensures that whether the Spin 5 is in laptop, tablet, display or tent mode, the speakers will always face the user.

This ultra-portable 1.5kg workhorse also boasts up to 13 hours of usage time with one full charge - but really, who works for 13 hours straight anyway?

The Acer Swift 3, which has been available since last November, is now available with an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card for the 15.6in model. Video and photo editing and even some light gaming will be a breeze on this machine, especially with its 10-hour battery life, and 256GB SSD and 8GB DDR4 memory.

For a more immersive gaming experience or if you prefer your work splayed out in front of you, there's the Acer XR382CQK Monitor with its 2300R curvature. Featuring a 37.5in IPS curved 21:9 screen with UltraWide QHD+ (3840 X 1600) display, the 178-degree viewing angle means there are no blind spots. Meanwhile, the AMD Adaptive-Sync technology ensures that the monitor’s frame is synced with that of the graphics card to ensure smooth gaming and video playback.
