Sony has been bringing their best to their Master Series lineup, which began last year with the two 4K TVs, the A9F OLED and Z9F models. Now, Sony is supersizing their lineup, with new 8K and 4K models that was announced during CES 2019.
A follow-up to the F models of 2018, 2019 will bring in the A9G 4K OLED TVs and the massive Z9G 8K LCD TVs. The Z9G takes center stage with it being available in 85-inch and 98-inch sizes. All this while also being able to output at 8K resolutions. This is thanks to the new Picture Processor X1 Ultimate, which helps in producing the 8K images with an algorithm that can detect and analyse each picture to bring out all the details within.
The A9G may not be able to do 8K, but it still does a great job with the 4K it puts out. It will be available in the more standard sizes of 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch sizes. Powered by the same processors, the two new Master Series models also share some features; the Netflix Calibrated mode, IMAX Enhanced, and Dolby Vision/ Atmos. The TVs are also set up at Android TVS, with Android Oreo being built-in to the hardware right out of the box.
Overall, the pricing and release dates of the Master Series A9G 4K OLED TVs and Z9G 8K LCD TVs have not been announced yet, though we can definitely expect these TVs sometime this year.
