The Redmi Note 8 has finally been announced, and along with it they announced a Redmi TV as well, which is surprisingly a first. Before this Xiaomi already has a number of Mi TVs, but this is the first smart TV using the Redmi name, and not only does it come with all the best features a smart TV would have, it also comes with a pretty good price tag to boot. The Redmi TV is a 70-inch 4K TV with support for HDR. It also comes with support for audio technologies like Dolby Atmos and DTS HD. In terms of its internals, it has a quad-core 64-bit Amlogic chipset, the PatchWall UI, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. And, as it is a smart TV, it also comes with dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, and of course USB and HDMI ports. As a 70-inch smart TV, it comes with a price tag of CNY3799 (~MYR2241) and that's undoubtedly pretty impressive. For now, it's only being sold in China starting from 3 September 2019. No word yet on whether it will be sold elsewhere, but we're hoping it will, especially if they can keep that price tag.
