After much hype, the Oppo Reno 2 has officially arrived in Malaysia. This premium mid-range smartphone comes with a quad camera that consists of a 48MP f/1.7 main camera which uses Sony’s IMX586 sensor with optical image stabilisation. Also included is a 13MP f/2.4 telephoto camera that can do 2X optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom and up to 20X in digital zoom. For greater versatility, there’s also an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera as well as a 2MP mono lens for portrait mode. Its key highlights includes the ultra steady video capability that uses a combination of OIS and EIS. For the front camera, it also features a “shark-fin” pop-up camera that has a 16MP selfie camera, just like the first Oppo Reno. The device is powered by a large 4,000mAh battery that supports 20W VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 via USB-C. Out of the box, it runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.1 skin on top. It also comes with a 6.5″ AMOLED display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution. Packed inside is a Snapdragon 730G processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage which is expandable via a microSD card.
The Oppo Reno 2 comes in two colours - Luminous Black and Sunset Pink - and retails at a price of MYR2299. Pre-orders start from today 16th to 25th October 2019 and those who do will get additional freebies worth MYR318, consisting of a screen protection warranty worth MYR119 and an exclusive Reno bag worth MYR199. The Oppo Reno 2 will be available officially on 26 October onwards at Oppo official dealer stores, e-commerce platforms as well as telco partners such as Celcom, Digi and Maxis.
