The ASUS ROG Phone 2 is much akin to its predecessor with an improved design and hardware. It is also the world’s first in two things; featuring an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus (clocked at 2.96 GHz) with Qualcomm Adreno 640 GPU, and is the world’s first to have a 120Hz/1ms AMOLED 10-bit HDR 6.59” display with Delta-E <1 color accuracy and 49ms touch latency. These basically mean the ROG Phone 2 is poised as a beast of a smartphone from the get-go. Its battery is a whopper at 6000mAh that also includes the 30W ROG HyperCharge. On its rear, it has a main 48MP camera and a 13MP wide-angle lens while the front camera is a 24MP shooter. The fingerprint sensor is an in-display unit and has additional ultrasonic sensors known as AirTrigger 2 situated on its right side to simulate trigger buttons that are a mainstay on contemporary video game controllers.

Just like the previous ROG Phone, the ROG Phone 2 also has a slew of modular accessories where you can attach to the phone for added functionalities. All of the modular accessories are designed to work only with the ROG Phone 2. There are currently two available variants of the ROG Phone 2 in Malaysia, one that has a 512GB storage while the other comes with a 1TB storage.
