Plus a kid-safe tablet, a predatorial pointer and an elite workhorse

Oppo F5 6GB (from RM1698)

What better colour to get than red for this festive season - and if you’re lucky, some bling to boot?

The Oppo F5 now comes in spicy scarlet and with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of memory, so you can play games, switch between apps and take selfies seamlessly. Besides that, the star feature is the 20MP front camera that has a f/2.0 aperture with AI Beauty Recognition technology that churns out realistic and natural-looking selfies. Add an 18:9 aspect ratio screen and the phone is delightfully in fashion.

For added sparkle, Swarovski has partnered with Oppo to design a limited edition phone case that will be bundled with the first 1000 preorders for the Red Edition. Whether it's a present for someone or a treat for yourself, you'll be glad to know it all comes in a special gift box.

Preorder here for your chance to snag that Swarovski case with the Red Edition Oppo F5 6GB.

If you've got enough sparkle in your life, consider the black or red case-less versions here.

The Oppo F5 6GB will officially start selling from 16 December.

Huawei MediaPad T3 7 (RM499)

Contrary to what some think, that five minutes of solace a parent can get from distracting their child with a tablet is priceless. Which is why Huawei's MediaPad T3 7 may just be the gift that keeps on giving to parents this Christmas.

It comes with a 7in IPS HD display and weighs in at just 245g, running on EMUI 7.0 with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB). Made of aviation-grade anodised aluminium and a unibody design, it's a solid device that will probably withstand a few child tantrums.

Bonus for parents: the MediaPad T3 7 houses a Kids Garden application which enables you to access the apps and control the content that your kids are using. It also allows parents to decide on the amount of time their child can use the tablet so they won’t be glued to it while ignoring the outdoors or school work.

The MediaPad T3 7 is now available at Huawei Experience Stores and Display Zones.

Acer Predator Cestus 500 (RM299)

There are also five on-board profile settings which can be tweaked with the Predator QuarterMaster app. And the customisable ambidextrous design with side panels helpfully supports up to four different modes for a better fit and ergonomic comfort.

The Acer Predator Cestus 500 is available at select authorised Acer resellers nationwide including Acer Online Stores.
